Woodpecker Apartments

Did you ever wonder where woodpeckers lived? They live in these deluxe woodpecker apartments in the sky. Actually there was probably only one woodpecker at a time in this old tree. Woodpeckers get kind of territorial in the places they live. And they really love old, usually dead trees to live in. You can't live there, but you can use this as a Free Wallpaper.

Let's not talk any further. My tale has been told. Let's get to the photo, before we get old.

The Everyday Adventurer is my nature blog where I tell stories of my daily nature hikes and the things I encounter, with more photos like this one. Rat Tales is where I get to share some of the fiction that I write. No photos there though, just some very cool stories.

Thanks. I found this old tree while I was still in Michigan. I thought it was such an interesting thing with all of those holes.
