Purple Pea Flower

I've been told that this week's Free Wallpaper is a flower from the Fabaceae (Pea) family. I'm not really sure about that because I don't know much about flowers yet myself. What I do know is that I like the way this one looks. If you like it as well, then go ahead and download it for your desktop. Then you can have it for as long as you like.

If you think you know what kind of flower this is then please feel free to share with us in the comments section. We are still learning as we try to help you and all of our readers learn. I may be considered an expert about some things in nature, but there are others where I am lacking, such as flowers.

The Everyday Adventurer is my nature blog where I tell stories of my daily nature hikes and the things I encounter, with more photos like this one. Rat Tales is where I get to share some of the fiction that I write. No photos there though, just some very cool stories.

  2. Very pretty flower,Ratty! My first thought was that it was in the Iris family. Maybe Sharkbytes is correct. Great image for a wallpaper!

Thanks. I found them now with help from your comment. I think I got some bad advice on these flowers before. I was doubtful when I wrote it. This is why I rarely try to identify flowers myself. :)

Yeah, Sharkbytes is right on the money. She's usually right there when I need flower help. The important thing is that this one makes a good wallpaper.
