Red Spotted Purple Butterflies

The Free Wallpaper this time is of two Red Spotted Purple Butterflies. It was contributed by Steve from Out On The Prairie. I hope to be able to bring you more from Steve, because he does very good work. Leave him a comment, and let him know what you think. Steve takes nature photos exclusively, and he doesn't leave home without his camera.

Let's let Steve tell about this photo in his own words.

"This is a red spotted purple butterfly I photographed at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park in Se Iowa. They are a mimic of a Pipevine Swallowtail who is toxic from eating pipevine. This offers some protection of a most beautiful butterfly."
