Gaillardia

This photo of a Gaillardia, otherwise known as blanket flower or firewheel, was taken by me on July 26, 2009 at Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve in Michigan. My camera is a Canon Powershot A590. I found this flower growing wild in the meadow area at the back of the nature preserve.
If you look very closely, you can see a bug on the middle of the flower. I like this flower because it makes me think of fire. A nice fire flower on your desktop might be fun for awhile.
