Editor's Notes: April 23, 2012

We are undergoing major changes here at Nature Center Magazine. You may have already noticed that we did an overhaul of the look of the magazine earlier in the month. We think the new look is much more professional than the old one. But that is only a minor part of our changes. This one might surprise you. Now we are going to have a huge format change as well.

Don't worry. We're not going to abandon our nature loving ways. We will be abandoning some things though, but only somewhat. Let's talk about what will be new first. We're going to be featuring all new and improved types of articles. Occasional Editor's Notes to update you on what's going on here at the magazine are part of that. You'll be seeing other new and exciting articles in the days and weeks ahead.

In our effort to give you these improved articles we've decided to change a few things. We are going to break our usual routine of a video on Monday, a Nature Site Of The Week on Tuesday, A Free Wallpaper on Wednesday, A bit of news on Thursday, and a poem on Friday. That sentence was long and tedious, right? So was our old routine.

We like those old articles, but not quite that much, and I'm sure many of you feel the same way. We're going to mix things up a bit. Our old type of articles won't go away completely, but you'll only see them on occasion now because we want them to be really special for you. We're very serious about bringing you the best of the best from now on. And if you still want something good to read every day, you can always check out our wonderful Latest News section in the sidebar.

With new and better articles comes the need to let as many of you as possible have a chance to read each one. For that reason we are going to leave each article at the top of the page for at least two days each, sometimes longer than that. That will give us more time to write great stuff for you and give you more time to read it. No more rushing every single day to write something only to find out that it could have been better if we just had a little more time. Now there will be more time.

We are very excited about these changes. Watch for the first of these new and improved articles here at Nature Center Magazine in the days to come.

Thank you.
