Naturally Beautiful

Radha is a not so old, still young at heart woman from India. She loves all of nature and especially loves to photograph the beauty she finds in nature. Since she is not a botanist, she knew very little about the names of the wonderful things she took pictures of when she started her blog. She is learning as she goes and is teaching us in the process.

Naturally Beautiful is the most appropriate name of this blog. It is full of pictures taken either by Radha or someone known to her.  Each article is accompanied by a quick description and a name of the object in the photo.

Since we have just finished celebrating the 4th of July here in the United States, I thought her firecracker plant showed good timing. It is also known as a coral plant. With all the branches of this weeping shrub and the grasses growing with it, it makes a gloriously "wild" picture. I like the non-cultivated look.

I was intrigued by the sausage tree. There is a picture of the tree, the flowers, and the fruit. Gorgeous. The fruit looks like sausage... that's where the tree gets its name. The fruit does more than attract bats and other animals. If it falls on humans or cars it can cause injury.

I chuckled when I saw the picture of the ring necked parrot. It looks as if someone removed its head and then set it back in place. What a beautiful bird. Radha also heard cuckoos and bulbuls but only shows us the parrot.

A rat tail cactus is shown. It is showing the loveliest blooms. The picture is of the cactus growing along the ground but it makes a nice hanging plant as well.

A red vented bulbul  makes an appearance. It is a sassy looking little thing. Then it is gathering nectar from some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen.

I could go on and on. The words are few but I was satisfied to have the name of the subject of the pictures. Then I could sit and enjoy them. There are so many more to see. I only took you back a short way because everything I looked at was something I wanted to tell you about. Trust me when I tell you that you need to keep going further back in these posts. There are only wonderful things here. Please click on the link below to have a look. Then leave a comment and tell Radha that Emma sent you.
