It's time for the third in the series here on Nature Center Magazine about online nature field guides. We have already dealt with bird guides from two continents, and now I want to share with you the most comprehensive online nature guide of them all, this time for North America. This one is called eNature.com. Keep reading to find out more.

eNature.com is more than just a field guide. It's also a comprehensive nature magazine. Don't be fooled though. The magazine is built upon the field guide. This nature guide is actually the continuation of a very popular field guide that exists in book form. The site's core content of wildlife information about almost 6,000 individual species is the same data set used to create the printed Audubon Field Guides.

This guide covers everything you might want to know about nature in North America including all wildlife, animals, flowers and plants, parks, a sky guide, and a guide to animal tracks in your area. There is also much much more here.

There are so many ways to browse this field guide. My favorite is the advanced search. All you have to do there is click on a selection of choices until your animal or other subject is found. I visit this place every time I want to find something. I might go to a few other guides around the web, but I always include this one too. It's simply the best.

Go check out the many other features this place has as well as the guide. There are so many enjoyable nature related things there that I'll let you discover them for yourself. If you love nature and find yourself needing some help identifying anything, then this place is definitely for you. Go take a look, especially if you live in North America.

We are still looking for more online field guides every day. If you know of a good site with information on any feature in nature from near you, share the link with us in the comments section. You may also leave a link to your own site if you have one. We will give credit to the first person that shares the link to a guide when we write the article for it. We are looking for guides from all over the world, so one for your area would be very helpful.
