Birth of a Giraffe

This week's Cool Nature Video shows one of the most natural events there can be, the birth of a new animal. In the video we'll get a quick run through of the preparation and birth of a new giraffe in captivity. Warning! This video shows an actual birth of a giraffe. Kids, ask your parents before viewing this.


The video was put up on YouTube on December 16, 2006. It shows a scene from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs where viewers witness the birth of a giraffe. A birth is not an unusual thing at all, but it is an unusual thing to witness. The video is mildly graphic. You have been warned.
