Jack Mountain Bushcraft

The Jack Mountain Bushcraft Blog gives us "Reflections On Bushcraft, Guiding And A Simple Outdoor Life by Tim Smith".  According to the About Tim section, he has a real love for bushcraft and the experience and education to inform us about the subject.
He studied anthropology before earning a masters degree in education. And all the while, he was enjoying the great outdoors and training to become a guide. His bio is impressive enough that reading his articles is like eating dessert. Tim is the founder of Jack Mountain Bushcraft School which teaches bushcraft and wilderness survival.

The definition of bushcraft is a long-term extension of survival skills. This blog is passionate about having people know the correct way to approach survival. Tim wants people to know what they are doing by learning from those who have real experience and training. He also expects people to respect the land and all living things.

Tim shares tales of his trips with us.  He tells of staying out in the snow in cold temperatures and the things he does to stay warm and fed. We learn about how his students train for bushcraft. All very enlightening. He even has a couple of recipes for us.

If you click on the JMB Home tab, you can see the classes he offers. You may want to sign up for some of them. If you spend a lot of time out in nature, it would be a good thing to do.

The Jack Mountain Bushcraft Blog is a joy to read. There are good photos and a lot of good advice for nature lovers. Give it a read. I think you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Just click on the link below to see this site and leave a comment to tell them Emma sent you.
