The Everyday Adventurer

The World Waits For You. That is the motto of The Everyday Adventurer. Also known as Ratty, he takes us on a daily adventure as he explores nature trails and parks near his home in southeastern Michigan. Ratty seems to have an extraordinary rapport with the birds and animals.

He has been adopted by baby raccoons, approached by deer, and entertained by geese. The Adventurer is equally as comfortable with the trees and flowers while he allows us to feel as if we are accompanying him on his walks through nature. Each post has pictures taken by Ratty to show us what he has seen that day. And if we are lucky, we might even get an episode of Rat TV.

Each day brings a new adventure from Ratty as he shares his love of nature with us. Perhaps we will read about squirrels joining together to attack a hawk. We might learn about chicory and see pictures of its lovely flowers. There could be a curious deer wanting to check out the giant rat pointing a strange object (otherwise known as a camera) at it. Whatever the subject of the day, you can be sure you will be entertained.

Ratty also has a humorous side. Who else would have a cold war with squirrels that escalates into him being captured and held hostage in the comments section of his blog? He has been attacked by snow fairies and he kept his little friend Alice from chasing a rabbit into the bushes and maybe a rabbit hole. Definitely check the archives.

There are tips on hiking and hiking safety. There are tips on how to use your camera. There are even tips on how to interact with animals.

The Everyday Adventurer is an entertaining, informative blog that tries to tell the reader that every day is an adventure and that nature is all around you if you take the time to look. Click on the link below to see this site and and leave a comment to tell them Emma sent you.
